My Hero

This term we have been studying the work of a New Zealand artist, Robyn Kahukiwa. She taught us that everyone has a Super Hero inside them.

My super hero is 3 people who inspire me.
The hair represents my cousin Olalini.
The rosary represents god the father.
The pule tasi represents my awesome Mum.
I love and thank all these people.

Stress and Sweat

Stress, Sweat and groaning they just wanted to stop but they couldn’t they just carried on pulling and pulling to.... VICTORY! July 16th 1918 must be a great day especially when  they are blessed with this lovely sunshine. For many years of failure they have strived for excellence and victory! But for their opponents sadly they had to carry shame back home, their opponents were very keen on winning but sadly that wasn’t enough to go up against Glen Innes.

My Holidays

8 am in the morning, screaming and crying coming from my brothers room, what do I do with that little boy?  I shouted out to him, “ Gabriel be quiet!,” My mum said to me that, I had to get up and shower because somebody special is going to come pick me up for the movies.

Later we arrived at the movies and while we were there I saw my friend Julia from school and it looked like she was having a great holiday. My cousins wanted to watch the movie “Ted”,          “ We’re watching ted” says Olalini and then my cousins Leotina and Emma screams “Yeah!” then Olalini just looks at them and replies with a great big laugh “You're both DREAMING! We’re watching Katy Perry then it was my turn to scream and fall to my knees and scream “NO!”.

Later when the movie had finished I had run to the arcade and left dust in my remains. “Thank You Lini!” my cousins and I screamed just before she left.

My Life here in New Zealand

When a life ends another begins, when one falls another rises, when people start to like others start to dislike, well you can’t change anything that has happened in the past because whatever had happened in the past has gone forever, and you can’t change or do anything about it! And well everything that happens in life turns out the way it was meant to go... School contains learning, friends contains laughter, church contains focus, family contains a big heart and this is part of my everyday life here in New Zealand.

My life here in New Zealand is everything that I could imagine, here in New Zealand you can be surprised with what you find. If you search for something here I guarantee you that you’ll find it, if you're searching for love you should find it in a minimum time because you are surrounded with it and if not then you haven’t searched hard enough.

First I would like to start with my family, it’s obviously true that family contains a big heart and if you keep saying in your head “My family hates me, they don’t care about me because they won’t let me do this and that.” well that’s not true if they don’t talk to you or do anything well that’s their problem don’t let it take over your life just maybe talk about to someone or what I do is pray.

Next I will begin with my friends, all my friends and I do is talk, laugh, (not a good word) gossip and laugh! Friends aren't all around you because some people won’t really care about what happens to you and well I’ve learned that the hard way. I am very very VERY lucky to have good friends that will always be by my side not matter what happens in life they would always be there.

Last but not very least SCHOOL. School is very important in life especially when you gotta survive colleges and universities here in New Zealand because if you're not up to their standards then good-bye. You just can’t deny it because of what people say about your work like “You're gonna make it!, Your a true artist! and Your sound like a true Author!” well if they are saying the opposite of this well then they're just jealous okay!

Remember to always have faith in yourself, because with faith you can go or do anything in life!

Fencing

Fencing
Protection, defense, focus and Strength can help a fencer win the game. Fencing is pretty tricky, even though it looks easy on T.V.

The categories in fencing are Sabre, Epee and Foil. In fencing they have to wear these protective pads or else they would be badly injured. Fencing is one of the only events that is included in the Modern Olympic Sports. Yellow card in fencing means warning, Red card means point given to the opponent and Black card exclusion from tournament.
